CELESCO TRANSDUCERS CHOSEN FOR POSITION FEEDBACK
OF THEATER'S MOVEABLE STAGE AND SEATING
Canoga Park, CA -- When Paramount Theater in Seattle, Washington needed an accurate, rugged and easy-to-mount position measurement solution to provide positioning feedback information for its moveable state flooring and seating, engineers chose Celesco Transducer Products' cable extension transducers.

The theater's stage, consisting of 63 moving sections, and its 31 rows of seating must be positioned within 1/8" accuracy or better to safely and easily accommodate diverse events. Set ups range from elevated seating with floor-level stage to an entirely flat dancing surface with seating sections stored underneath butting together seamlessly.

The theater uses 132 Celesco PT5 units and two Celesco PT9420 units connected to an A-B PLC control unit and interface panel. Celesco's PT5 transducer has a unique thermoplastic, Kevlar-like measurement cable for exceptional strength, durability and reduced inertia for high acceleration/deceleration applications. The PT5 is available in measurement ranges from 40" to 150". Its cable exit can be rotated relative to the mounting surface, providing four different cable exit orientations. The Celesco PT9420 with stainless steel cable is available in measurement ranges from 75 to 1700 inches.

All Celesco transducers are easy to install and maintain since they do not need perfectly parallel alignment, and the cables can be routed for flexible placement options.

Celesco has a 25-year history of designing and manufacturing cable-extension transducers that provide superior reliability and durability. OEMs and end users choose Celesco transducers because of their high accuracy, resolution, and repeatability. The company, founded in 1968, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tedea, Ltd.
