CELESCO'S POTENTIOMETRIC-BASED TRANSDUCERS RECEIVE EUROPEAN STANDARDS CERTIFICATION |

Canoga Park, CA -- Celesco Transducer Products, Inc.,
the leading manufacturer of cable-extension position transducers, has just
announced that its heavy-industrial potentiometric-based cable-extension
transducers have received the European CE certification.
Celesco redesigned its 4 to 20 mA and 0 to 10 VDC circuits to meet CE certification to assure reliable performance even in the presence of high EMI/RFI environments such as walkie talkies or large industrial motors. The certification includes Celesco's line of heavy-industrial models - the PT8000 and PT9000 series - which use stainless steel cables and housing that meet NEMA 4 standards. The PT8000 Series short-to-medium range models are available in measurement ranges from 2 to 60 inches. The PT9000 Series medium-to-long range models are available in measurement ranges from 75 to 1750 inches. Models are available with 500, 1000, 5000, or 10,000 ohm potentiometers and unregulated input/0 to 10 VDC output. Accuracies range from +/-0.25% to 0.010% with essentially infinite resolution. All of Celesco's cable-extension position transducers are easy to mount and easy to use. The transducer's body is mounted to a fixed surface. Its stainless steel extension cable is attached to the movable object. As the object moves and the cable extends, the transducer's sensing element sends an electrical signal proportional to the cable's linear extension. (An internal spring motor maintains constant tension on the cable for retraction.) Celesco, headquartered in Canoga Park, California, designs, manufactures and markets a wide range of transducers and related precision instruments. The company is the world's largest supplier of cable-extension position transducers which are used to detect and measure linear position and velocity. Its other families of transducers are used for measuring rotational position and differential pressure. Celesco also manufactures thermocouple reference junctions. OEMs and end users choose Celesco transducers because of their high accuracy, resolution, and repeatability. The company, founded in 1968, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tedea, Ltd. |
