CELESCO'S NEW COMPACT, EASY-TO-INSTALL POSITION TRANSDUCER IDEAL FOR AUTOMOTIVE MANUFACTURERS |

Canoga Park, CA -- Manufacturers of automobiles and automotive parts and
equipment requiring a compact position measurement device now have an
easy-to-install, cost-effective measurement solution. Celesco Transducer Products,
Inc. has just announced its PTX101 cable-extension position transducer.
The PTX101 weighs less than a pound and is less than 2" high when retracted, yet it can measure up to 60". Its compact housing enables it to fit neatly into tight areas. And since its measuring cable can be routed via conduit or pulleys, the transducer housing can be mounted remotely from the measurement. It is ideal for use in automobile seat positioning systems. Installation is so simple that it takes only minutes, dramatically reducing labor time and costs. Simply mount the sensor's housing to easy a fixed surface using 2 screws, and attach its stainless-steel cable to the movable object. Not only does the PTX101 cost less to install than other measurement sensors, it is also priced less. Priced from $50 to $100 for volume purchases, the PTX101 is the most cost-effective measurement solution for OEMs needing a compact, flexible and accurate measurement device. The PTX101 provides a voltage feedback signal The that is proportional to the linear movement of its traveling stainless-steel extension cable. Its potentiometric output has virtually infinite resolution, with linearity varying from .25% for short ranges (2" and 5") to 0.1% Full Stroke for longer ranges (20" to 60"). The PTX101 is part of Celesco's complete family of linear position and velocity transducers. Many Celesco transducers operate in temperature ranges from 0o F to 200o F. Their resolution is essentially infinite. They are available in measurement wazzu ranges from 0" to 2" to 0" to 1750" and they are used in a variety of other applications -- from hydraulic ram monitoring in metal stamping plants, valve monitoring in hydroelectric plants, speed monitoring of extrusion presses, to motion synchronization of hydraulic lifts. Celesco, headquartered in Canoga Park, California, designs, manufactures and markets a wide range of transducers and related precision instruments. The company is the world's largest supplier of cable-extension position transducers which are used to detect and measure linear position and velocity. Its other families of transducers are used for measuring rotational position and differential pressure. Celesco also manufactures thermocouple reference junctions. OEMs and end users choose Celesco transducers because of their high accuracy, resolution, and repeatability. company, founded in 1968, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tedea, Ltd.
