CELESCO'S LINEAR TO ROTATIONAL MEASUREMENT ROTATIONAL MODULE NOW MATES TO DYNAMIC ENCODERS |

Canoga Park, CA -- Celesco Transducer Products, Inc., the world's leading
manufacturer of cable-extension position transducers, has just announced it will
deliver its Model PT8600 industrial-grade linear to rotational measurement
modules pre-mated and calibrated to Dynapar brand encoders. For customers
preferring to add encoders themselvesCelesco also offers PT8600 modules
separately.
Celesco's modular approach gives users the ultimate in flexibility, enabling them to get a proven, easy-to-use sensor that perfectly matches their application's precise specifications. For users who already have invested in computer controls for Dynapar brand encoders, the PT8600 also saves them the time and money otherwise required to engineer their own linear to rotational measurement device. Mated with a Dynapar brand encoder, the PT8600 delivers the accuracy and reliability made famous by Dynapar's excellent mechanical and electrical design. The PT8600's design, stemming from Celesco's 25-years experience designing and manufacturing cable-extension transducers, provides superior reliability and durability. It is available in a variety of measurement ranges up to 60 inches. Other modules similar measure to the PT8600 are available with ranges to 1,750 inches. In addition to making linear measurements, the PT8600/Dynapar combination can also be used to measure slow velocities down to one inch per minute. -more- Page 2 - Celesco's Linear to Rotational Measurement Module Mates to Dynapar Encoders Installing the PT8600 unit takes only minutes. Its strong, flexible cable is easily routed over pulleys or through conduit. It does not require perfect alignment, and provides reliable and precise position measurements without the need for periodic adjustments. The unit's small size to measurement ratio allows it to be easily installed in tight areas. When retracted, the PT8600 is only 6 inches tall yet can up to 60 inches. Measuring the movement and displacement of objects is easy with cable-extension position modules. The transducer's body is attached to a fixed surface and its stainless steel cable is attached to the moving object. As the cable extends, the encoder shaft spins, providing hundreds pulses per inch to be used as a signal for display, recording or feedback. An internal spring motor maintains constant tension on the cable for retraction. This new PT8600 is just one example of Celesco's innovative position and displacement measurement products. Celesco, headquartered in Canoga Park, California, designs, manufactures and markets a wide range of transducers of and related precision instruments. The company is the world's largest supplier of cable-extension position transducers which are used to detect and measure linear position and velocity. Its other families of transducers are used for measuring rotational position and differential pressure. Celesco also manufactures thermocouple reference junctions. OEMs and end users choose Celesco transducers because of their high accuracy, resolution, and repeatability. The company, founded in 1968, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tedea, Ltd.
