CELESCO LINKS TO JORDAN TRANSMITTER TO MAKE EXPLOSION-PROOF MEASUREMENTS |
||
|
Canoga Park, CA -- Grain silos, oil refineries and other environments needing linear
measurements to be made by certified explosion-proof devices now have a new solution: a
Celesco measurement module integrated with a Jordan Controls position transmitter.
The integration of these companies' product lines results in cable-extension linear
position measurements unparalleled in accuracy, ease of use, and certified safety.
With the Celesco PT8600 or PT9600 motion conversion module mated to the Jordan PT-1010 transmitter, linear movements of Celesco's measuring cable causes the transmitter's shaft to rotate - sending a 4 to 20mA signal proportional to the measurement. (An internal spring motor maintains constant tension on the cable for retraction.) The Jordan Control transmitter's rugged housing with a ball bearing-supported input shaft protects the internal components from dust and prevents large axial and radial input shaft loads from being transmitted to the internal position sensor shaft. It is rates as Class I, Division I, Groups C and D for explosion-proof hazardous locations and is also suitable for NEMA 4 IP65 indoor-outdoor use. Celesco's cable-extension modules are suitable for full-range linear measurements from 1" to 1,700", provide millions of cycles of use, and are easy to install and maintain since they do not require perfectly parallel alignment. Celesco has a 25-year history of designing and manufacturing cable-extension transducers that provide superior reliability and durability. OEMs and end users choose Celesco transducers because of their high accuracy, resolution, and repeatability. The company, founded in 1968, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tedea, Ltd. |
