The PT9600 installs quickly, does not require perfectly parallel alignment and does not need periodic adjustments. When retracted, the PT9600 is only 6 inches yet can measure up to 1750" . Celesco's New Long-Range Linear to Rotational Measurement Module

Measuring the movement and displacement of objects is easy with Celesco's cable-extension position modules. The transducer's stainless steel cable is attached to the moving object, and its body is attached to a fixed surface. As the cable extends, the encoder shaft spins, revolving once for every 12.7" of linear cable extension and providing hundreds of pulses per inch to be used as a signal for display, recording or feedback. An internal spring motor maintains tension on the cable for retraction.
