position transducers are compact, flexible and accurate measurement devices engineered to
customer specifications. OEM models are available that weigh less than a pound and
are less than 2" high when retracted, yet measure out to 60". The
transducers detect and measure linear position and velocity using a flexible cable and
spring-loaded spool. Because the measurement cable does not have to be perfectley
aligned for accurate measurement, installation is fast and simple. Available with
potentiometer and incremental encoder output, the devices send a proportional electrical
signal for display, recording or control. Circuits can be added for regulated
output. Transducers are available with and without covers and can be engineered as
drop-in replacements for current assemblies. Designs allow for custom mounting,
electrical connections and life testing. OEM quantities as small as 100 units are
available. Applications include medical and dental equipment, robotics, fitness
