The  Celesco RT9420 rotational position transducer, which accurately detects and measures the position of rotating equipment and objects, now is CSA certified intrinsically-safe for Class 1, Groups A, B, C and D hazardous areas.  Applications include rack and pinion monitoring, water management gate position, valve stem monitoring and amusement motor feedback.  The RT9420 measures rotational position through an external rotating shaft with an internal gear connected to a high-linearity, virtually infinite-resolution potentiometer that outputs 4-20mA for display, recording or control.

The device has a range of 0.25 to 50 shaft turns with a radial maximum shaft load of  35 pounds.  Accuracy of ±0.30% of full stroke up to five turns; ±0.15% thereafter.   Zero and span settings are adjustable.  Available in powder painted aluminum or optional stainless steel enclosures.  NEMA 4, 4X and IP65, IP67 environmental suitability.

Operating temperatures range of -40°F to 200°F.   Weight is 2 pounds, size 4.5" diameter x 3.6" deep.  The RT9420 is available with 24-hour delivery.
