| CELESCO INTRODUCES LINEAR MEASUREMENT MODULE FOR RESOLVERS | ||
|
Canoga Park, CA - Making linear measurement using resolver technology
just became simple thanks to a unique industrial-grade linear measurement
module from Celesco Transducer Products, Inc. The Celesco PT9600 and PT8600
cable-extension measurement modules can now be mated within minutes to
Computer Conversions Corporation's HR90 resolver. This combination provides
an ideal measurement solution for a wide range of industrial applications,
especially those in steel mills and other environments subjected to magnetic
interference, EMI, RFI, shock and vibration.
Celesco's PT9600 is available in measurement ranges from 75 inches up to 140 feet, and its PT8600 is available for ranges 50 inches and below. These unique measurement modules are spring-loaded, cable-actuated devices. When mated with the HR90 resolver, the PT9600 or PT8600 converts the linear motion of its measuring cable to the rotation motion of the resolver shaft. The PT9600 and PT8600 modules can also be mated to incremental or absolute encoders, enabling customers to perfectly match their application's specifications. Celesco's modules are designed to mate to resolvers and install onto applications within minutes. Celesco acts as an authorized reseller for Computer Conversions to provide a finished assembly. Or for customers who have HR90 resolvers in stock, they can easily mate a resolver to a Celesco module themselves. Installing and maintaining the unit is also simple because it does not require perfect alignment, and provides reliable and precise position measurements without the need for periodic adjustments. The module's strong, flexible cable is easily routed over pulleys or through conduit. Output can be scaled in an analog or digital format to indicate direct degrees, inches, meters, percentage, inches per second, RPMs or other measurements. The design of these linear measurement modules stem from Celesco's 25-years of designing and manufacturing cable-extension transducers. Users can rely on a proven, easy-to-use sensor with superior reliability and durability that precisely fits their requirements. Celesco, headquartered in Canoga Park, California, designs, manufactures and markets a wide range of transducers and related precision instruments. The company is the world's largest supplier of cable-extension position transducers which are used to detect and measure linear position and velocity. Its other families of transducer are used for measuring rotational position and differential pressure. Celesco also manufactures thermocouple reference junctions. OEMs and end users choose Celesco transducers because of their high accuracy, resolution, and repeatability. The company, founded in 1968, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tedea, Ltd. |
